Perhaps we will muddle through, but here are somethings that I plan to keep an eye on...

• houses for sale, time on market, empty houses not on market - shadow market, as described by a local realtor - held back so market isn't flooded and prices stay
• going out of business - doggie daycare, specialized personal services
• adult children and their kids, moving in with Mom and Dad
  
• tariffs, currency restrictions
• teflon President - any measures proposed are "the right thing to do"
  
• government financing for corporation with unions
• availability / cost of other corporate funding
• return on 10-yr Treasuries
  
• smaller, cheaper restaurant portions
